Fear is a trick of the enemy that causes doubt which can lead to weakness because you have no control. Fear leads to a lot of failures that can stop the flow of God and the anointing. These are the things of the devil that can lead you to depression, destruction and even death. The Holy Spirit is the One who gives us spiritual gifts and empowers us to use them. God's spirit does not impart fear or cowardice, but power, love, and a sound mind (meaning self-control). The Spirit imparts power for the various circumstances of ministry. The love the Spirit gives to us should be directed toward other individuals. Furthermore, as we use our spiritual gifts to build up the Church, we should exercise self-control using our abilities only at the appropriate times. If you see a brother fall and make a mistake, don't be quick to judge or condemn them. Instead, use tact and love at the appropriate time, making sure you're not embarrassing them. Remember you have faults and fears to. Our goal is to help pull somebody out of darkness and into the marvelous light and while you're pulling them out, you get to come out of bondage also.

 

Romans 8:15 says, "For ye have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear but ye have received the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba Father;' we as Christians have been adopted into God's family receiving an eternal inheritance. So you have power and love working together using self-control to cast out fear. I John 4: 18 says, "There is no fear in love but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear involves torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." In other words, you cannot fear what you love. Hallelujah! The purpose of Paul's command to Timothy is the promotion of God's love in the church. Gossip, speculation, and criticism should not come from the lips of believers. Putting your mouth on another believer can set you back and cause you to miss the mark. Every seed you plant will bloom, including negative seeds and they will come back to haunt you. In other words, what goes around comes around. Negative seeds are like weeds growing in a garden with one purpose - to destroy the roses. But when the gardener finds the weeds, they are destroyed. This information is vital to your health and recovery. Gossip is like cancer. It's rotten to the bone and is hard to get rid of. Once you start, it's hard to stop. If you exercise love toward your neighbor instead of gossiping about them, why not pray for them and do whatever it takes to help them? Leviticus 19:18 says, "You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord." Vengeance belongs to God partly because human vengeance often is carried out too zealously. God's vengeance is entirely just. Bear any grudge means actively keeping a grudge alive with an eye toward vengeance. Matthew 22:37-40 says, "Jesus said to him, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Of these two commandments, hang all the Law and the Prophets." The heart, soul, and mind represent the whole person. This command from Leviticus 19:18 is not imperative to loving one's self. People naturally love themselves and are at least somewhat self-centered. Because we love ourselves, we want the best for ourselves. Likewise, we should be concerned for the welfare of others.
